creative time w/ mike nelson
got the chance to check out the newest mike nelson installation yesterday - it's pretty amazing. in a partnership with creative time and the city, he took over the unused essex street market building on the lower east side and painstakingly created a parallel world. you enter through an old chinese restaurant on delancey street and then make your way through a maze of interconnected rooms and passageways, each decorated with material the artist has found or salvaged.

great shots -- is the installation open to the public? and, have you looked into getting involved with the creativetime crew?
yes, the installation is open to the public: friday - sunday starting at noon. the entrance is at 117 delancey (at essex).
i met with them yesterday and as a result, a couple of the shots are going to be used by frieze magazine and flavorpill.
thanks for the info, and nicely done with the additional exposure!
this is pretty amazing. I'm knocked out that the city is a collaborator with the artist. That's a great thing.
